Class Action: Amazon Violates Federal Law With Employee Background Checks

In this recent class action lawsuit, employers Amazon and Staff Management Solutions failed to follow Fair Credit Reporting Act procedure which require them to provide the job candidate with a copy of his or her background check (consumer report) prior to taking adverse action. Not to mention the consumer reporting agency that provided false information which disqualified the candidate from the job.  Had the candidate received a copy of his consumer report and his rights, he would have been able to dispute the information which disqualified him, and remained qualified for the position.
